Menus and Recipes

Come to the Pantry a little early on Thursday night and use the computers in the Library (upstairs) to check out the following recipe websites.  The Library is open until 7:00 pm on Thursdays.

DINNER FROM THE PANTRY

PANTRY TURKEY PIE  

(all ingredients available at the Barrington Community Food Pantry) 

2 cups of diced chicken or turkey

2 cans of “cream of…” (your choice) soup

Canned vegetables (your choice)

Pie crust (enough for one or two crusts)

 

Warm the soup with a cup of water

Add diced chicken or turkey

Drain and add vegetables

Season to your taste

Stir and keep the mixture warm 

Make the pie crust following the directions on the box

Line a baking pan with the crust

Pour the warm soup mixture onto the crust

Top with crust and using a fork make 3-4 vent holes 

Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes until crust is golden
